Some parts shouldn't just be replaced — they should be rebuilt properly. We rebuild the mechanical heart of early Fords in our Wodonga workshop, in Victoria's north-east, and run a core exchange program so your car isn't off the road waiting: send us your worn unit, take home a fully-rebuilt one.

Worn steering is the single biggest drivability complaint on an early Ford — and almost always rebuildable. We rebuild Model A and early V8 steering boxes on an exchange or outright basis, in right or left hand drive.

Every carburettor gets the full treatment — no quick kit-and-clean. Each unit is stripped, cleaned to bare metal inside and out, rebuilt to spec, then proven on a running engine before it leaves.

Rebuilt early Ford generator

Generator rebuilds

6 V or 12 V · 1 yr warranty

From the Model A on, the generator with its cutout relay carried the whole electrical system — lights, ignition and charging. We rebuild early Ford generators in 6 volt or 12 volt output, keeping your original armature where it’s sound.

6 V or 12 V · 1 yr warranty

The Model T started on a hand crank; by the Model A an electric starter was standard equipment — and ninety years on, most need attention. We rebuild early Ford starters for 6 volt or 12 volt systems.

Distributor rebuilds

Sun-machine tested

A tired distributor makes a good engine run badly. Each unit is rebuilt with new wearing parts, set up on a timing jig, and proven on a Sun distributor testing machine before it ships.

Rebuilt brake cross-shaft

Brake cross-shaft rebuilds

RHD & LHD

Mechanical brakes are only as good as the linkages behind them. Sloppy cross-shafts waste pedal travel before the shoes ever move — we rebuild them back to a firm, direct pedal.

Exchange service

Rear axle housings (trumpets) rebuilt back to as-new condition, inside and out — supplied on an exchange basis so your car isn’t stranded while the work is done.
